19 December 2008 - The Commission has commenced a review of the local authority boundary between East Dunbartonshire and Glasgow City at the Greenacres estate in Robroyston. 12 December 2008 - The Commission has published an overview map showing all of Scotland's local authorities, which is available for download as a PDF file from the Maps section of the website.

31 October 2008 - The Commission has published its provisional proposals for a revised local authority boundary between Glasgow City and North Lanarkshire Council areas at Cardowan by Stepps. Representations concerning the proposals are invited by 30 January 2009. Further details are available in the Cardowan page in the Reviews in Progress section of the website.

10 October 2008 - Scottish Ministers have passed an Order (SSI 2008/325) taking effect on 22 October 2008 renaming Annandale East Ward of Dumfries and Galloway Council area as Annandale East and Eskdale.

1 October 2008 - The joint Secretariat to the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland and the Boundary Commission for Scotland has advertised two vacancies for Electoral Boundaries and GIS Officers, with a closing date for applications of 17 October 2008. 8 August 2008 - William Magee has been appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Commission with effect from 1 September 2008, in succession to Brian Wilson. 3 July 2008 - The Your Area page on this website has been updated, giving access to ward and local authority maps from the Third and Fourth Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements.

28 March 2008 - The joint Secretariat to the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland and the Boundary Commission for Scotland has advertised a vacancy for a Casework Manager, with a closing date for applications of 11 April 2008. 7 March 2008 - The Scottish Government have published an advertisement for the appointment of a Deputy Chairman of the Commission to succeed Brian Wilson after his retirement.
