18 December 2009 - Fithiebank review - The Scottish Statutory Instrument (SSI 2009/442) implementing the recommendations of the Commission's review at Fithiebank has been laid before the Scottish Parliament by Scottish Ministers.

8 December 2009 - Cardowan review - The Scottish Statutory Instrument (SSI 2009/368) implementing the recommendations of the Commission's review at Cardowan has been approved by the Scottish Parliament, and is due to come into effect on 1 April 2010.

29 October 2009 - Princes Gate, Greenacres by Robroyston review - The Commission has published its Revised Recommendations for a realigned local authority boundary between Glasgow City and East Dunbartonshire Council areas at Princes Gate, Greenacres by Robroyston. Representations concerning the proposals are invited by 28 January 2010. 29 October 2009 - Fithiebank review - The Commission has submitted its report to the Scottish Ministers making recommendations for the realignment of the administrative boundary between Angus and Dundee City Council areas at Fithiebank. The Commission has issued a News Release with more details. The report and review documents are available as PDF files from the Administrative area reviews 2007 onwards page in the Past Reviews section.

14 October 2009 - The Commission has agreed to make Revised Recommendations in its review of the local authority boundary between East Dunbartonshire Council area and Glasgow City Council area at Princes Gate, Greenacres by Robroyston. It will publish these Revised Recommendations for public consultation shortly, probably at the end of October. 5 October 2009 - The Your Area facility on the website has been enhanced, and now returns local government areas for a postcode from the period 1991 to date, thereby including region and district areas, electoral divisions and district wards. You can access the Your Area facility through the Your Area section of the website.

5 August 2009 - The period of public consultation on proposals for the realignment of the administrative boundary at Princes Gate, Greenacres by Robroyston has been extended until Monday 31 August 2009, following a request to the Commission by East Dunbartonshire Council. The consultation period, which gives the public an opportunity to make representation on proposals, was due to end on Thursday 6 August 2009. 2 July 2009 - The Health Boards (Membership and Elections) (Scotland) Act 2009 gives the Commission a new function of advising Scottish Ministers on electoral wards for elections to Health Boards. A copy of the text of the relevant legislation has been added to the Legislation section of the website.

18 June 2009 - The Commission's Annual Report for 2008-2009 has been added to the Publications section of the website.

3 March 2009 - The Commission's series of Information Papers has been updated, and extended to include new papers on Electoral Arrangements since 1973. The papers are available as PDF files on the Publications page.

6 February 2009 - A summary of the past members of the Commission since its establishment has been added to the website. It is available from the Past Commissioners page.

3 February 2009 - Historical information on the electoral arrangements that were put in place on the formation of Regional, District and Islands Councils in 1974, and on the formation of unitary authorities in 1995, has been added to the Boundary Reviews page of the Publications section.
