Fourth Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements
This page contains links to the various outputs from the Local Government Boundary Commission for Scotland's Fourth Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements which took place between 2004 and 2006 as required by the Local Governance (Scotland) Act 2004. Those Reviews resulted in the introduction of a total of 353 multi-member wards for Scottish local authorities, returning a total of 1222 councillors. Those wards replaced the 1222 single-member wards defined in 1998 by the Commission's Third Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements.
This page contains links for each local authority area to:
- the Commission's report which includes maps of each recommended ward;
- a note of any modifications made by Scottish Ministers to the recommendations in the report;
- a page giving access to more detailed maps of the individual wards as implemented by Scottish Ministers, and;
- the Statutory Instrument (or Order) which brought the new wards into being.
This website also includes a Maps section which gives access to individual ward maps for all local authorities, both resulting from these reviews, and the Third Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements.
