Interim electoral reviews 2010
We are undertaking a small number of Interim Reviews of electoral arrangements, as a result of an assessment of ward electorates across all of Scotland's 353 electoral wards. We found that 10 wards needed further consideration and decided to carry out Interim Reviews in these cases.
As a result, on 25 November 2010, we published for public consultation our Provisional Proposals for a change to the electoral arrangements in Ward 8 of West Lothian council area, and Interim Decisions to recommend no change in each of the other cases. Full details are available as PDF files in the table below, and for inspection at locations listed in the Public Notices. The public consultation period lasts 13 weeks, ending on 24 February 2011.
We would like to hear your views on the Provisional Proposals and Interim Decisions. You can make a representation by writing to the address given on this website, by emailing to representations@scottishboundaries.gov.uk, or by using the webform provided.

After this consultation, we expect to agree our Final Recommendations and report to Scottish Ministers by the summer of 2011. This timetable would enable implementation of our recommendations in time for the local government elections scheduled for 3 May 2012.
The current electoral wards across Scotland resulted from our recommendations in the Fourth Statutory Reviews of Electoral Arrangements, carried out between 2004 and 2006, which were first used for elections in May 2007.
